Sports and Exercise Psychologist Management
WHY SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY?
You train well. But when the match begins, your mind takes over. Performance anxiety, overthinking, fear of mistakes, and pressure can affect decision-making, even when the physical and technical ability is already there.
The body may be ready. The mind may still be afraid. Fear of reinjury, hesitation, loss of confidence, and uncertainty can make returning to sport emotionally difficult. Recovery is not only physical, it is psychological too.
You keep showing up. But the fire no longer feels the same. Mental fatigue, pressure, expectations, and constant performance demands can slowly disconnect athletes from the sport they once loved.
You are an athlete. But you are more than your last result. When performance becomes self-worth, a bad game can feel like personal failure. Sports psychology helps athletes build a healthier and more resilient relationship with performance.
As athletes, parents, and coaches, we spend hours — years — building technical skill. But there's one part of the game we still don't give enough weight to: the mind.
An injured athlete who won't take rest isn't lacking discipline — they're lacking assurance and the mental skills to sit with uncertainty. A top-level player who freezes on match day isn't lacking talent — they're lacking confidence under pressure.
Mental skills aren't something you reach for only when things go wrong. They're daily skills — exactly like your physical conditioning. The mind deserves the same discipline.
WHAT I OFFER
Sports and exercise psychology support tailored to your sport, your experiences, and the demands you face, on and beyond the field.
01 · ATHLETE SUPPORT
Build the mental skills to perform, recover, and grow.
One-to-one sports psychology support tailored to your sport, performance environment, and personal goals. Sessions may focus on confidence, concentration, performance anxiety, emotional regulation, motivation, injury recovery, identity, and performing under pressure.
Best for: Athletes at grassroots, competitive, elite, and professional levels.
Format: Initial consultation + personalised follow-up sessions (Online and in-person support)
02 · INJURY & REHABILITATION
Supporting the athlete behind the injury.
An injury affects more than the body. Fear of reinjury, uncertainty, frustration, loss of confidence, and pressure to return can all influence the recovery journey. Psychological support can help athletes navigate rehabilitation, maintain motivation, manage uncertainty, rebuild confidence, and prepare mentally for a return to sport.
Best for: Athletes recovering from injury, returning to competition, or struggling with the emotional impact of time away from sport.
03 · EXERCISE PSYCHOLOGY
Build a healthier and more sustainable relationship with movement.
Exercise is not only about physical health. Motivation, confidence, identity, habits, emotions, and life experiences can all shape how we engage with physical activity. This service supports individuals in building sustainable exercise habits, understanding barriers to movement, and developing a more positive relationship with physical activity and well-being.
Best for: Individuals seeking support with exercise motivation, consistency, confidence, or their relationship with physical activity.
04 · GROUP & TEAM SESSIONS
Stronger individuals. Better-performing teams.
Interactive workshops and tailored programmes for athletes, teams, coaches, sporting organisations, schools, and performance environments.
Topics include: Performing under pressure · Confidence & self-talk · Focus & attentional control · Emotional regulation · Team communication · Leadership · Motivation & burnout · Injury psychology · Building a supportive environment
Available for: Sports teams · Academies · Schools · Universities · Coaches · Sporting organisations
05 · COACH & PARENT SUPPORT
Supporting the people who support the athlete.
Coaches and parents play an important role in shaping an athlete’s confidence, motivation, identity, and experience of sport. These consultations provide a space to understand psychological challenges, improve communication, navigate performance expectations, and create a more supportive environment around the athlete.
Best for: Parents and coaches seeking practical, athlete-centred guidance.

My Story
"The focus of my practice is not only to enhance the performance of an athlete, but also to apply an equal emphasis on their overall wellbeing." — Dr Nanaki J. Chadha
I grew up in Chennai, where cricket is more than a sport, it is a passion passed through generations. Before becoming a sports psychologist, I spent seven years as a competitive cricketer, representing my school and club teams across tournaments.
My career changed after experiencing repeated injuries. The physical recovery was addressed, but the psychological challenges: fear of returning, anxiety, confidence loss, and uncertainty about the future were rarely discussed.
